Player profile: EDGAR

Full name: Edgar (commonly listed mononymously — no widely used full name record)

• Nationality: Portugal
• Club: Benfica (S.L. Benfica)
• Position: Not specified in the query — commonly "Edgar" could be a forward, midfielder or defender depending on era; no single famous Benfica player known simply as "Edgar" in major international records
• Era/Years at Benfica: Not provided and unclear — multiple players named Edgar have played in Portugal at different levels and times

Notes: The name "Edgar" alone is ambiguous for Portuguese football. Benfica’s most prominent historical and modern squads do not feature a single widely known first-name-only star "Edgar." To provide accurate career details (years, appearances, goals, position, honors), I need one of the following:

• Full name (e.g., Edgar [surname])
• Approximate years or decade when he played
• Position or any distinctive fact (youth team, B team, first team, loan club)

Provide any of the above and I will return a detailed HTML-formatted profile including career stats, honors, and brief biography.
