Clarification / factual summary

There is no well-documented professional footballer widely known as "Dmitry Popov" who is an Albanian national and who played for the Russia national team. However, there are similarly named players from Eastern Europe and Russia; the most notable footballer with a similar name is Dmitri Popov (often transliterated Dmitry/Dmitri Popov) born in 1971, who is a Russian footballer, not Albanian.

• Dmitri Popov (born 1971): A Russian former international midfielder/winger. He played for clubs including Rotor Volgograd, CSKA Moscow, and abroad in Spain (Castellón) and Portugal (Boavista). He represented Russia at international level. This Dmitri is Russian by birth and footballing nationality, not Albanian.

Conclusion

Based on available records, there is likely confusion or a mix-up of nationalities/names. If you have additional details (date of birth, clubs, years active, or alternate spellings such as "Dmitri" vs "Dmitry"), I can search specifically for that profile and provide a fuller biography, career statistics, and clubs.
