Player name: José Cañizares

Nationality: Albania (listed)

Played for: Spain

Notes and clarification:

• There is no widely known professional soccer player named José Cañizares who is Albanian and who has played for the Spain national team in major international competitions. Prominent Spanish or Albanian internationals with similar names do not match this description in available records up to mid‑2024.
• If you are referring to a player who played at club level in Spain (rather than for the Spain national team), or a youth/amateur player, more specific details will help locate the correct profile: birth year, clubs played for, position, or alternate spellings of the name (for example, José vs Jose, Cañizares vs Canizares vs Cañizares with different diacritics).
• There is a well‑known Spanish goalkeeper, Santiago Cañizares (often spelled with the tilde), who played for the Spain national team. He is Spanish, born in 1969, and not Albanian. That name similarity may cause confusion.

What I can do next (no response required from you):

• Search for a player profile if you provide additional details (birthdate, clubs, position).
• Provide information about similarly named players (for example Santiago Cañizares) if that is who you meant.
